The first time I learned about the Loblolly pine (Pinus taeda), I was in the thick of my plant classes studying Landscape Architecture. One of the key characteristics of the Loblolly is that it is a diploxylon pine - with leaves that are stiffer and arranged in bundles of 2-3 needles.
Between landscape classes and 5-ish years working in garden beds, I've gotten to know the pine needle pretty well. It was only a matter of time before it made its way into our collection ;)
Those needles are what inspired these strips of metal that wrap around your wrist, starting out in a bundle on one end and coming back together in a cluster at the other.
This piece is lightweight, fits comfortably and stacks well with others. It's also adjustable and fits a 5.5" to a 7.5" wrist.
Made by hand in our south Louisiana studio.
Each piece varies slightly due to its handmade nature.
MIMOSA bracelets are slightly adjustable. The first time you put your new bracelet on, adjust it one time to a size that slips on and off comfortably.
Our jewelry is solid cast metal, so repeated adjusting can cause it to break!
