At MIMOSA, we are committed to bringing you only the best, highest-quality, fairly-priced, locally handcrafted jewelry. This commitment requires us to closely track our material costs and end prices and source the best materials from the most reliable suppliers.

We purchase the bulk of our jewelry-making materials from USA vendors with the only exception being our recycled gold.

Nearly every piece of MIMOSA jewelry is handcrafted in-house at our south Louisiana studio.

bronze, sterling silver, and 14K gold metals

We cast our jewelry in-house using bronze, sterling silver, and 14K gold. (pictured above in order)

A portion of the bronze and sterling silver we use is recycled. This includes in-house metal scraps and broken or unsuccessfully cast MIMOSA pieces. The 14K gold we use is 100% recycled and SCS Recycled Content Certified.

Every now and then, we find "supporting actor" pieces that pair so well with our cast jewelry that we add them to our collection for you. This includes all of the gold-filled jewelry you’ll find on our website.

While we do not make these gold-filled pieces in-house, some are still assembled or hand-set with stones at our shop.

handbuilt clay discs

Our clay is purchased locally in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. All of our clay pieces are created through the hand-building process, where we turn a raw lump of clay into a finished product.

You can find these clay discs (above) in our Essential Oil Diffuser Jewelry.
