After 8 years of trial and error, product prototype wearing, and tweaking everything to perfection, The Belt Buckle is finally ready for you. Dawson Ellis took painstaking effort to invent something beautiful to wear, easy to use, and equipped with the most essential survival tools like a lighter, knife, bottle opener, and screwdriver. There is even a discrete compartment perfect for a little cash, a few mints, or gummy bears ;)

The Belt Buckle is equal parts form and function. It’s a sleek, simple conversation piece that makes a truly unforgettable gift.

PARTS:

THE STASH
A small concealed compartment for everyday carry.
The door closes with adjustable friction. You can tighten it gently as wear occurs. Do not force. snug is enough.

THE TOOLS
-Knife
-Bottle opener
-Screwdriver
Always use the provided pliers when changing out used blades.
Never handle blade edges directly. Blades are extremely sharp.

THE LIGHTER
Fill with standard lighter fluid (provided), 40–50 drops per refill
Fluid typically lasts about 2 weeks or around 30 uses before drying
If the wick becomes hard to light, trim the burned end and use the provided tweezers to pull fresh wick out so that 3/16” is exposed.

  • The Belt Buckle comes with 1 can of lighter fluid & wick, pliers, tweezers, extra flint, O rings, and blades.

Created in our South Louisiana studio, blending traditional carving with 3D-printed elements for a truly original design.

Each piece varies slightly due to its handmade nature.

Bronze first: Our bronze is a solid copper + tin alloy, lead free. Copper can react with the natural acids, sweat, and moisture in your skin. Some people may see a harmless green or blue mark. Others never do. It can even vary day to day based on humidity, activity, or hydration. This is normal and not a quality issue.

Tarnish & patina: Bronze darkens over time, just like sterling silver. That "dirty" look is natural oxidation (patina), not damage. A quick polish brings back a warm glow similar to 14k gold at a fraction of the cost. The trade off is a bit of maintenance.

Quick prevention tips:

• Remove before washing hands, swimming, showering, or heavy sweating.

• Dry well after wear.

• Apply a thin coat of clear nail polish or jewelry wax to the inside that touches skin if you are sensitive.

• Polish as needed with a treated jewelry cloth or gentle metal polish.

General care for all MIMOSA jewelry:

• Check prongs that hold stones from time to time.

• If a hinge, clasp, or bracelet feels loose, please bring it in.

• Avoid harsh chemicals and cleaning products.

• Store dry in your cloth MIMOSA bag or a jewelry box when not wearing.

Professional care: We are happy to clean and check your piece anytime. Once a year is a good habit.

  • Orders for in-stock items usually ship within 3-7 days of being placed. 
    • Exceptions: wholesale orders 
    • Orders containing out-of-stock (made to order) items can take 1-3 weeks to ship (though it's usually closer to 2 weeks).
    • MIMOSA generally ships Monday-Friday. Days can vary depending on frequency and volume of orders.

    • A tracking number will be automatically emailed to you once package is shipped if an email address was provided at checkout. Please allow 24 hours for tracking information to update.
