I started carving this piece during the darkest, dreariest days of winter — when the smallest peek of sunlight felt like sweet relief from the cold gray around me. It wasn’t conscious. I just found my fingers creating the rays my heart was longing for.
When I sat down to write about it, I looked up the word that had been bouncing around in my mind: sunburst.

If you know our collection, you know the sun shines through much of it — and that’s no accident. Soaking in sunshine feels like taking the vitamins my spirit needs most. This piece is a small way of holding onto that light — and sharing it.

Bronze first: Our bronze is a solid copper + tin alloy, lead free. Copper can react with the natural acids, sweat, and moisture in your skin. Some people may see a harmless green or blue mark. Others never do. It can even vary day to day based on humidity, activity, or hydration. This is normal and not a quality issue.
Tarnish & patina: Bronze darkens over time, just like sterling silver. That "dirty" look is natural oxidation (patina), not damage. A quick polish brings back a warm glow similar to 14k gold at a fraction of the cost. The trade off is a bit of maintenance.
Quick prevention tips:
• Remove before washing hands, swimming, showering, or heavy sweating.
• Dry well after wear.
• Apply a thin coat of clear nail polish or jewelry wax to the inside that touches skin if you are sensitive.
• Polish as needed with a treated jewelry cloth or gentle metal polish.

General care for all MIMOSA jewelry:
• Check prongs that hold stones from time to time.
• If a hinge, clasp, or bracelet feels loose, please bring it in.
• Avoid harsh chemicals and cleaning products.
• Store dry in your cloth MIMOSA bag or a jewelry box when not wearing.
Professional care: We are happy to clean and check your piece anytime. Once a year is a good habit.

- Orders for in-stock items usually ship within 3-7 days of being placed.
- Exceptions: wholesale orders
- Orders containing out-of-stock (made to order) items can take 1-3 weeks to ship (though it's usually closer to 2 weeks).

TRACKING
- A tracking number will be automatically emailed to you once package is shipped if an email address was provided at checkout. Please allow 24 hours for tracking information to update.
- If you feel that your package has been lost in the mail, please contact the carrier for your order.

- We not are accepting international orders at this time.
- Gold is not available for international shipping.

- If your order is damaged when you receive your package, please take a picture of the damage and send the picture to hello@mimosahandcrafted.com as soon as possible.
