I’ve had these critters on my carving list for years, but my sister-in-law, Emily Welch, gave me the excuse I needed to move them to the top this year. Emily recently published her book, “The Nutcracker – A Swamp Tail.”

It’s a swampy, Southern take on the traditional Nutcracker story, reimagined with all your favorite bayou critters. She's created a magical, whimsical way to tell this familiar story with a bayou twist, and this collection is meant to be a way you can carry that world with you all year long.
