"There was a boy with good looking legs and a head of golden curls who was THE BEST crawfish cook in the world. We had many a boil mostly just because. Because the price was right, because it was Tuesday, or because there was too much beer in the fridge. Over the years that boy’s paddle got worn down with use and the curls fell out but he still was THE BEST. Now his paddle is still and my heart aches a bit when I think about that boy. This fidgeting led to us enrolling them in a 100% virtual high school based out of Maryland......which led to me volunteering to give presentations on how this format helped students struggling with ADHD.....which led to me being asked to volunteer as a board member for the company to possibly serve students in our state......which led to an amazingly fabulous job offer from the company...... which I accepted! "This cuff was the perfect gift for my mother. Before my Daddy passed away he would always include a unique piece of jewelry for Mama in her Christmas gifts. Now that Daddy is gone I have taken up the responsibility of continuing this tradition. The moment I saw this pelican cuff I knew I was buying it! It’s unique, it’s gorgeous, it’s local, it’s says “Louisiana” and it will compliment almost any outfit from casual to sophisticated. THE MEANING OF PEARLS
"Growing up I've always received pearl jewelry during milestone event in my life, starting with a baby bracelet at baptism and continuing through graduating with a masters in meteorology while proudly sporting my new string resting perfectly on my collarbone. Pearls were a statement larger than my birthstone. In my mind, they were more than an accessory, they were earned treasures through commitment and disciple. Every time I wore a piece, they were a reminder of an important moment. I stumbled across this ring and became instantly attached. I began a tireless search on what I could do to "earn" such a gorgeous piece. I began to ask loved ones for advice; Should I run a marathon? Sign up for a high mileage bike race? Test for a professional certification? The choices of milestone goals were numerous, but nothing felt right. After a week of deliberation, I put it to rest and removed the ring from the realm of possibility. Shortly after, my significant other surprised me by tying it to a Mardi Gras bead and putting it around my neck. That was the day that pearls lost their meaning of "earned" and gained a meaning of love. I wear it every day as a symbol of love and pride. A lot of people have this piece but secretly it feels like it was made just for me. Thank you for giving pearls a new meaning after all of these years."
